John, a diabetic, suffered a serious foot infection that resulted in amputation of his toes and about half of one foot. He is resting in the hospital when his daughter and two granddaughters come to visit.

    "Mom," exclaims 7-year-old Lindsey, "Look! Part of granddad's foot has already gone to heaven!"
